Australia

Australia

Australia is a federal parliamentary constitutional monarchy, comprising six states and ten territories. Australia's population of nearly 27 million is highly urbanised and heavily concentrated on the eastern seaboard. Canberra is the nation's capital, while its most populous city and financial centre is Sydney. The next four largest cities are Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.

There are two cities (Hobart with 251,047 people and Melbourne with 159,810 people) with an online Transportation Plans that can be considered Urban Mobility Plans with a total population of 0.4 million people. Although many other cities have developed plans that meet many of the requirements of an Urban Mobility Plan, it is not evident from reviewing these plans that citizens and stakeholders were consulted in their development (which is a fundamental requirement of urban mobility planning). All plans are in English.
